Problem Note 32490: Higher order interactions coded incorrectly in Transform Variables node
When creating a three-way or higher interaction using the Interactions
property in the Transform Variables node of SAS® Enterprise Miner™, a new variable is created that is named using all of the variables requested in the interaction.
However, the training code calculates only a two-way interaction. You can verify this by inspecting the Flow Code available through the Transform
Variables node Results browser.
There are no error, warning, or note messages indicating that a problem occurred.
To work around the problem for interactions among interval variables, you can build the interactions using the Formula Builder in the Transform Variables node. For interactions involving any other type of variable, you can create these interactions using Data step code in a SAS Code node or by using sequential Transform Variable nodes.
