When running PROC POWER with the ONECORR or the MULTREG statement, you might obtain incorrect results in specific instances.

If you use the ONECORR statement and specify a high correlation, a null correlation value of 0, and a small sample size using a t distribution, the calculated power will be incorrect.

Using a t distribution with NTESTPREDICTORS=1 and METHOD=RANDOM and SIDES=2 on the ONECORR statement is equivalent to using the MULTREG statement. Therefore, the MULTREG statement might give the same incorrect results when implementing a design that combines a high correlation and a small sample size.
