Usage Note 32019: How to control the language setting for the SAS® Financial Management Studio user interface

In SAS Financial Management Studio, the default language displayed for the user interface is determined by the operating system locale settings of the individual client machine. You can override this setting by adding a single argument to the <sasfmstudio.ini> file.
For instance, if the locale settings on your client machine are <English, US> but you want the SAS Financial Management Studio interface to be displayed in Italian, you would modify the <sasfmstudio.ini> file as follows:
- Access the <sasfmstudio.ini> file on your client machine. The <sasfmstudio.ini> file is typically located at:
<<drive>:\Program Files\SAS\SASFinancialManagement\Studio\4.x>
on each client machine. - Open the <sasfmstudio.ini> file using a standard text editor, such as Notepad, Wordpad, or Textpad.

Near the bottom of this file, you should see an entry similar to:
CommandLineArgs= -Xms32m -Xmx256m
-Denv.factory.location=http://servername:7001/SASConfig/EnvironmentFactory.xml
-Dlog4j.configuration="file:///C:/Program Files/SAS/SASFinancialManagement/Studio/4.4/log4j.properties"... - To modify the language displayed in SAS Financial Management Studio, add the following argument to the beginning of this entry, just after <CommandLineArgs=>:
-Duser.language=xx -Duser.country=yy
where 'xx' represents 2-character language code and 'yy' represents the 2-character country code.For example, if the operating system locale setting on your client machine is set to <English, US>, and you would like to have the SAS Financial Management Studio interface displayed in Italian, you would add the following entry: -Duser.language=IT -Duser.country=IT and the above 'CommandLineArgs' would now look similar to:
CommandLineArgs= -Duser.language=IT -Duser.country=IT -Xms32m -Xmx256m
