When you query a database using LIBNAME engines, SAS® software converts the query to a DBMS-specific query that is passed to the database for processing. However, SAS does not always know what queries are valid for every database.
When a query is invalid, database errors might show up in the SAS log. These errors do not affect your results, and you might not even see the errors unless you run a trace. If you use the SASTRACELOC= option, you can specify where you want the output (which includes the errors) to appear. Otherwise, the output will go to your operating system's default output location.

The hot fix includes enhancements to the Implicit SQL Pass-Through facility that increase the chance that more of the original query will be passed to the database for processing on the database.
