Problem Note 31881: A SAS® 9.1.3 SAS/CONNECT® server won't start if a SAS® 9.2 SAS/CONNECT® server is installed and started on the same machine

When you have both a SAS 9.1.3 SAS/CONNECT spawner service and a SAS 9.2 SAS/CONNECT spawner service installed and started on the same machine, if you stop the SAS 9.1.3 spawner service and try to restart it, the following message will display in the Windows Event Viewer:
The SAS Lev1 CS - 9.1 service was successfully sent a start controlThe SAS Lev1 CS - 9.1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 3
time(s). For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
Another scenario where the SAS 9.1.3 SAS/CONNECT spawner service will not start occurs after a SAS 9.2 installation. In this case, there is no SAS 9.2 SAS/CONNECT spawner service installed. The following error occurs when you attempt to start the SAS 9.1.3 SAS/CONNECT spawner service:
Windows could not start the SAS Job Spawner service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
This error is caused by differences in SAS 9.1.3 and SAS 9.2 spawner code.
