Problem Note 31661: Using the TKOPT_CPOOL3= threaded-kernel environment variable causes large amounts of memory to be used
A hot fix for SAS 9.1.3 SP4 is available that might reduce the amount of memory that is used by the SAS® Metadata Server.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access this hot fix.
If you apply this hot fix, you must ensure that the following statement appears in a physical file that is allocated to the TKMVSENV DDname.
set TKOPT_CPOOL3=
Alternatively, sites can remove this environment variable from the TKMVSENV file for the SAS Metadata Server if they have memory-related problems in the server. However, be aware that removing this environment variable can result in slower performance of the SAS Metadata Server.
See SAS Note 31641 for details on other memory-related environment variables that should be set concurrent with applying this hot fix.
