Problem Note 31533: An error occurred while running the setup when attempting to install a hot fix

When attempting to install a hot fix, the following error message might be displayed in a Tech Support Hotfix dialog box, shortly after the Installshield Wizard dialog launches:
An error (-5009: 0x8002802b) has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.
If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: SAS Institute, Inc..
Three buttons entitled Report, Detail and OK will also be part of the dialog box that appears with the error.
This error might occur when there are multiple instances of the setup installer running at the same time.
To alleviate this error, rename the RunTime folder to OldRunTime. The RunTime folder should be located in the InstallShield directory, similar to the following directory location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional
To rename the folder, do the following:
- Right-click Start, then click Explore. Windows Explorer opens.
- Click the Program Files ► Common Files ► InstallShield ► Professional ► Runtime.
- Right-click RunTime ► Rename.
- Type OldRunTime and press the ENTER key on the keyboard.
Now, attempt to install the appropriate SAS hot fix again.
