Problem Note 31391: Transcoding problem occurs between SAS® Japanese encoding shift-jis and EUC

When you are using SAS 9.1.3 with the encoding set to Japanese Shift-JIS and reading data encoded as Japanese EUC, or when you are using SAS 9.1.3 with encoding set to Japanese EUC and reading Japanese data encoded as Shift-JIS, some data is incorrectly transcoded. This results in the display of an unexpected character.
