Poor performance occurs when you use views that consist of inner joins from DBMS tables. When the view syntax has been resolved and is passed to the database, the syntax for the joins is not maintained, causing errors to occur from the Implicit Pass-Through facility. Performance problems occur because all of the data is returned to the SAS^® System before the joins occur.

You can see the Implicit Pass-Through errors when you use the SASTRACE= option. The errors are written to the SAS log.
