Usage Note 31024: The limitations of accessing UTF-8 data in Informix
It’s possible to use SAS/UTF-8 to access UTF-8 data in Informix, but there are limitations:
-
If you are working in a UNIX environment, you need to use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Informix.
-
If you are working in a Windows environment, SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC is the
product you need to use.
-
SAS/ACCESS® Interface to OLE DB does not support UTF-8 data at this time.
-
IBM Informix ODBC Driver 3.8 or later is required.
