Usage Note 31781: Internet Explorer 7 crashes when running SAS® AppDev Studio applets

Because of some changes made to Internet Explorer 7, the HTML that is generated by AppDev Studio applets will cause the browser to crash.
In order to use AppDev Studio applets with IE7, you must use the Java Plug-in HTML Converter application in order to regenerate the HTML code that is used to load the applet. The HTML converter application is provided with the Java Development Kit.
To use the converter, execute the following command:
\[Java Development Kit 1.4 install location]\bin\HtmlConverter.exe
In the dialog box, browse to the path where the HTML files reside. The HTML converter will automatically back up the files for you as it converts them, and you may change the backup directory if you wish. The other options can be left at the default values. After the settings have been chosen, click the Convert button to convert the HTML files. After the conversion, the applet should no longer crash IE7.
