Problem Note 31759: Tree MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close message when opening Interactive mode of the Tree node
When you invoke interactive training for a Tree node from within a SAS® Enterprise Miner™ diagram, SAS® Enterprise Miner™ Tree Desktop Application opens, but then might produce the message:
EM Tree MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were
working on might be lost.
The error occurs when the Microsoft Windows log on user does not have write permission
to the directory:
C:\Program Files\SAS\SASAPCore\apps\EnterpriseMiner\bin
This is more likely to occur in a Terminal Services environment, and in environments in which the Windows users have limited permission to administer their machine.
To circumvent this error, grant write permission for the above folder to the Windows user accounts, or download a new version of SAS Enterprise Miner Tree Desktop Application, 9.1.33.419. The new version does not require a user to have write permission to the C:\Program Files\SAS\SASAPCore\apps\EnterpriseMiner\bin folder.
