SAS Explorer and the LIBNAME window do not contain description information for data set views. If you set the -DETAILS option in the SAS^® configuration file or submit the following code, SAS displays description information for data sets, but does not display description information for data set views:

To circumvent the problem, right-click the data set view in the SAS Explorer or LIBNAME window and select Properties. The description appears in the Properties window of the SAS data set view.

A fix for this issue is planned for a future release of SAS.
