Problem Note 31165: IOM messages are truncated in the SAS® Metadata Server log
IOM messages might be truncated in the SAS Metadata Server log when using Web-authenticated connections. The truncated record will contain only the time, connection information, and user ID. The message text is missing. This problem has occurred with the
SAS® Information Portal configured with Web authentication. The Web authentication was configured using Siteminder.
Following are examples of a normal IOM message and a truncated IOM message.
A normal IOM message:
20071228:11.49.07.02: 00000075: 9:myuserid@mydomain: IOM CALL {comf:800003ffbd5a8530}->OMI::GetRepositories(): flags=0 options=
A truncated IOM message:
20080114:12.15.11.30: 00011196: 2270:myuserid
Currently, there is no workaround.

IOM messages originating from a Web-authenticated connection might result in the message being truncated. Only the user ID will be in the log.
