Problem Note 31093: Value specified for DESCRIPTION might not be visible in some clients
If you specify a value for the DESCRIPTION option on the PROC OLAP statement when building a SAS OLAP cube, the text you specify might not be visible in SAS OLAP Cube Studio or SAS® Management Console when viewing the properties of the cube. The text is also not displayed in the Description field within the General tab of the Cube Designer wizard within SAS OLAP Cube Studio.
While we are storing this text in the metadata for the OLAP cube, it is not being picked up by these clients because the PROC and the clients are storing this metadata differently.
If it is important to have the description visible in the clients, you can assign the description in the Cube Designer wizard and rebuild the cube.
