Chaining libraries that are assigned via Remote Library Services across multiple SAS/CONNECT or SAS/SHARE servers can disable complete Cross-Environment Data Access processing between the client and the ultimate server, causing data corruption. This behavior is especially true if the final server is a database management system (DBMS) that is accessed via SAS/ACCESS® software. Examples of such corrupted data might be incorrect characters or spurious data where zeros are expected.
