Problem Note 30967: Unable to delete a link from a SAS® Marketing Automation campaign user-defined field

SAS Marketing Automation allows users to define custom fields to be presented when maintaining campaigns and communications within SAS® Campaign Studio.
These custom fields have various types, such as character, numeric, and so forth. This problem manifests when the custom field has a type of link which allows the user to enter a URL.
Once a URL or any text has been entered into a link field, the user is unable to remove it and make the field empty. From then on, that field must contain something.
