Problem Note 30918: PROC GLIMMIX gives an incorrect analysis when there are missing values in the independent model variables and a continuous SUBJECT= effect is used.
PROC GLIMMIX produces an incorrect analysis under the following conditions:
- The syntax has a RANDOM statement with a SUBJECT= effect
- The SUBJECT= effect is a continuous variable, that is, it is not in the CLASS statement (or constructed from CLASS variables)
- The independent (right-hand side) variables in the model contain missing values.
To circumvent the problem, include the SUBJECT= effect from the RANDOM statement on the CLASS statement.
