Problem Note 30713: If you use SAS/GRAPH® software with fonts that support only Western characters in non-English locales, text and spacing problems might occur

Font and spacing might be wrong initially when you use a font that supports only Western characters (for example, Courier New) in non-English locales (such as China or Japan). The Shift-JIS character set is associated with the font but the font does not support Japanese characters. This causes the font and spacing problems to occur when you display a file in an emf/wmf viewer.
If you bring the file into into an editor, such as Microsoft Word, and go into edit mode, the proper character set is associated with the font and the content displays correctly.
