Problem Note 30681: Improperly closing the IMM window causes a defunct process to remain on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
When running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, you must close the IMM window
by selecting File > Close from the pulldown menu.
If you close the IMM window by clicking the X button in the upper right
corner, a defunct process called saswujms remains after you end your
SAS session. For example:
$ ps -ef | grep saswujms
sas 23860 1 0 Oct17 ? 00:00:00 [saswujms] <defunct>
The saswujms process cannot by removed by the UNIX kill command; the machine
must be rebooted.
This issue has not been seen with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.
