Installation Note 30630: User account control must be disabled to perform a silent installation of SASĀ® 9.1.3 on Windows Vista
When you perform a silent installation of SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4 on Windows Vista, user interaction will
be required if the Windows user account control (UAC) is not disabled.
The UAC first prompts you when you run the SAS system requirements wizard to create the record file.
If you take no action at the UAC prompt, an "Access is denied"
message appears
and no record file is created.
To disable the UAC feature in Windows Vista, follow these steps:
- Select
Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off.
- Uncheck
Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.
- Restart per the prompt.
- Reattempt to complete the silent installation process.
