Problem Note 30581: Scheduled scenarios in SAS® Marketing Optimization might fail
If you create a scenario in SAS Marketing Optimization, schedule it, and then delete it prior
to the scenario running, SAS Marketing Optimization returns an error.
If you subsequently create another scenario, this new scenario will run when the first scenario was scheduled to run and errors will be seen in the batch server log.
You might see the following errors in the batch server log:
ERROR:(mo_optimize_postprocess) 8:12:18 Optimization job encountered an error.
ERROR:(mo_optimize_postprocess) 8:12:18 Error encountered while executing optimization for
scenario_id = 289 (rc=181, moerror=-1).
ERROR:(mo_generate_report_data) 8:12:18 Report data for scenario_id = 289 not generated due to
optimization problems (moerror=-1).
The problem occurs because SAS Marketing Optimization is reusing the scenario ID.
If you receive an error relating to a scheduled job that has failed in SAS Marketing Optimization,
ensure that it is not a scenario that was deleted prior to the scheduled start time.
To work around this issue, be sure to always delete the scheduled jobs, not just the scenario, from within
SAS Marketing Optimization.
