Problem Note 30580: Long filter in the SAS® Add-in for Microsoft Office might cause an exception after being edited
If you create a long filter in the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office that contains multiple conditions, usually greater than 12, and you modify this filter, you might receive an exception the next time you attempt to edit that filter.
If you attempt to edit the filter via the pulldown SAS → Data Options → Filter, you might recieve an error similar to the following:
Input string was not in a correct format.
If you attempt to edit the filter via the pulldown SAS → Modify, you might receive an exception similar to the following:

Once you receive this exception, you might not be able to get back to your spreadsheet. Please make sure you save your spreadsheet prior to editing your filter to ensure you don't lose your work.
The only circumvention is to make your filter with less than 12 conditions.
