Usage Note 30568: Adding more multibridge connections to an existing SAS® Stored Process Server definition
This example shows the steps required to add an additional Multibridge connection to a default SAS® Stored Process Server definition.
Note: These steps must be repeated for each new Multibridge connection. The server Host Name for the new connections must be the same host name value that was used in the other Multibridge connections for this SAS Stored Process Server definition. The ports for the new connections must be valid, available port numbers, and the appropriate Authentication Domain must be specified.
In SAS® Management Console, perform the following steps to create each additional Multibridge connection.
For SAS 9.2:
- Expand Server Manager>SASApp>SASApp - Logical Stored Process Server
.
- Highlight the lowest level, SASApp - Stored Process Server.
- Right mouse-click Add Connection....
- Select Multibridge Connection.
- Click Next to advance to the next screen.
- In the Name field, enter LB Conn 4: SASApp - Stored Process Server
(a description is optional).
- Click Next to advance to the next screen.
- Enter the following connection properties:
Authentication
Domain: DefaultAuth
Port Number: 8641
- Click Next to advance to the next screen.
- Review the settings and click Finish.
Repeat these steps, specifying a unique Name and Port Number, for each additional
Multibridge connection you wish to create. Once these steps are complete, you must stop and restart the Object Spawner for the changes to become active.
For SAS 9.1.3:

.
- Highlight the lowest level, SASMain - Stored Process Server.
- Right mouse-click Add Connection....
- Select Multibridge Connection.

- Enter the following connection properties:
Authentication
Domain: DefaultAuth
Host Name:
your.server.com
Port Number: 8641
- Click Next to advance to the next screen.
- Review the settings and click Finish.
Repeat these steps, specifying a unique Name and Port Number, for each additional
Multibridge connection you wish to create. Once these steps are complete, you must stop and restart the Object Spawner for the changes to become active.
