Problem Note 30888: Blank window when opening a WinZip file with Internet Explorer
If you open a WinZip file which has been published to the SAS® Information Delivery Portal with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, WinZip might display a blank window.
This problem results from a bug with Microsoft Internet Explorer which is documented at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308090
As a workaround, use the following process:
- Click the hyperlink, and then click Save or Save this file to disk in the File
Download dialog box that appears.
- In the Save As dialog box, specify a location to save the file to (for example, Desktop), and then click Save.
- When the download is finished, open the .zip file, and then extract the files contained within it.
If your SAS Information Delivery Portal client is installed on Windows XP Professional, an alternate workaround is to upgrade to Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. For more information on support of Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 on Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2, please refer to
SAS Note 18994.
