Problem Note 30824: Reset parameter option is dimmed after you select Cancel in a parameter dialog in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
If you run a task, code, or stored process in SAS Enterprise Guide that contains a parameter and you cancel out of the parameter dialog without selecting a parameter, the next time you select the task, code or stored process, the option to reset parameters will be dimmed. You cannot reset the parameters without running through the entire task, code or stored process.
This can typically cause a problem when you have multiple processes, such as stored processes, running sequentially, in which the results from the first stored process affect the input or paratmeters for the second stored process. For example, you execute the first stored process, and then cancel in the second stored process parameter dialog. You then execute the first stored process again changing the results. However, when you attempt to run the second stored process, you are unable to reset the parameters to pick up the newest results from the first stored process because the 'Reset Parameters' option is dimmed.
The current circumvention is to run the second stored process with the default parameters. After you run the stored process, it will allow you to reset the parameters so you can execute the stored process again to get the correct results.
