Problem Note 30585: Other users might have the ability to display reports stored in Personal Folders from SASĀ® Web Report Studio
When saving a report in SAS Web Report Studio, you have the ability to save a report to the Shared Folder or My Folders. My Folders is a personalized folder, created for each user, that you use to store your individual reports. When saving a report to My Folders, other users might have the ability to access this report from other applications. This problem is most likely to occur when you are accessing SAS Web Report Studio from a SAS solution using a custom repository.
To correct this problem, you will first need to apply the current hot fix for SAS Web Report Studio. You also need to make some changes to your WebReportStudioProperties.xml or LocalProperties.xml file depending on which file contains your settings.
These files are usually located in your webapp server directory in the following location:
(webappserverdir)\webapps\SASWebReportStudio\WEB-INF
The following two properties in SAS Web Report Studio need to be set to true for this new functionality to take effect:
<wrs.baserepository.forceSecureUserHomeFolders> true
</wrs.baserepository.forceSecureUserHomeFolders>
<wrs.securityhelper.groupSearchMultiRepos> true
</wrs.securityhelper.groupSearchMultiRepos>
After adding these two properties to your file, you will need to restart your WebApp server. If you had an existing personal folder, the permissions will not be changed until you login to SAS Web Report Studio again after making this change.
