The pre-installation check list requires that the "Log on as a batch job" policy be set for the SAS Server Users group. When attempting to set this policy, you might notice that the "Log on as a batch job" policy does not appear in local security policy settings.

This type of behavior usually occurs when the account you are using for performing your SAS^® installation is not an administrator account, or if permissions for the administrator account, or an administrator privileged account have been removed.

To work around this issue, use an administrator account with full permissions.
