Usage Note 30454: Setting additional debug options for the SAS® OLAP Server 9.1
The following steps can be used to enable additional logging information in a SAS OLAP Server. This additional logging can prove helpful when trying to determine the cause of an error message.
- Stop your SAS OLAP Server.
- Add the following parameters to your -objectserverparms option in the sasv9_olapserver.cfg file or OLAPServer.sh depending on your operating system:
IOMLEVEL=1 JNLSTRMAX=50000 JNLLINEMAX=50000
The complete statement will look like:
-objectserverparms "cel=credentials server='...server name...' IOMLEVEL=1 JNLSTRMAX=50000 JNLLINEMAX=50000"
- Rename your existing OLAP Server log from today.
- Start your SAS OLAP Server.
- Execute your report to replicate the problem scenario.
- Stop your SAS OLAP Server.
- Save a copy of the server log to a new location or name.
- Remove the added options from your -objectserverparms line.
- Restart your SAS OLAP Server to clear the debug options.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The steps described in this note can be used to enable additional logging for the SAS OLAP Server. It is not recommended for a production environment as the settings can cause slower performance in the server.
