For SAS Enterprise Guide 3.x and 4.1x, you can automatically execute code when SAS Enterprise Guide is opened. One method is to add SAS code to EGAuto.sas. When you open SAS Enterprise Guide, the code in EGAuto.sas automatically executes on the default SAS server that is specified in SAS Enterprise Guide. From your SAS Enterprise Guide client machine, open EGAuto.sas, which resides in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\your-id\Application Data\SAS\Enterprise Guide\3.0

1. Add your code at the end of EGAuto.sas.
2. Save and close EGAuto.sas.
3. Exit SAS Enterprise Guide and then restart it to confirm the code executes correctly.

For SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2x and beyond, use: Tools ► Options ► SAS Programs then select Submit SAS code when server is connected, then click Edit, then enter the SAS code you want to execute on the SAS server when opening a project.
