Usage Note 24351: How do SAS customers obtain a license for Platform Suite for SAS?
SAS customers can obtain a single license key to install both Platform LSF and Platform Computing scheduling servers for integration with the Schedule Manager plug-in component in SAS® Management Console.
To obtain the license key:
- Find the SAS Installation Key and Order Number on the SAS Order Information page of the Getting Started guide in the SAS Installation Kit.
- In your Internet browser, open the SAS Administrator Services Web page. Re-send SAS Installation Data for SAS®9 or Higher at http://support.sas.com/adminservices-SID.
- In the appropriate fields, type your SAS installation key and order number and your e-mail address. Then, click Continue.
- On the subsequent Web page, select Platform Suite and click Submit. Within 10 minutes, you will receive a customized Software Order e-mail that contains your scheduling server's specific SAS installation data file (SID file).
- Using the instructions in that e-mail, save the scheduling server's SID file, which you will use when you install your scheduling server for SAS, Version 5.31, from Platform Computing Inc.
