Usage Note 24280: I had problems with my metadata user account, so I deleted it and created a new account. Now I can't access the jobs in my project repository. Why?
When you delete a user definition from the SAS Management Console User Manager, you also remove all associations to that user, including the user's security associations. When you re-create the definition—even if it has the same name and log-in ID—it is treated as a completely new and different user. The new user definition does not automatically get the same permissions as the original user definition.
Do not delete a user definition unless you are certain that it is no longer needed for anything. There are many associations that would be unrecoverable short of restoring from a backup.
