Usage Note 24226: What are the limitations of inline formatting and raw-text insertion?
Here are the cases that are not supported:
- SAS/GRAPH software does not support in-line formatting.
- Raw-text insertion is not and never will be supported for PDF.
- Raw text is not supported for the PC host drivers.
More about using raw text under Windows:
To use this feature under Windows, you must specify the SAS, PS, PDF, or PCL options. This is because raw text only works with the SAS drivers, which is called Universal Printing. If you are running on a platform other than Windows, you're always using the SAS drivers, regardless of options.
For more explanation of the SAS drivers and PC host drivers, see
FAQ 3336. For information about Universal Printing, see the SAS 9.1 and later online documentation.
Usage of in-line formatting and raw text is briefly summarized in a topic about
inline formatting in the Base SAS focus area.
