Usage Note 23970: Why is output lost or out of sequence when I write directly to _WEBOUT?
If you are writing to _WEBOUT using PUT statements while ODS has _WEBOUT open, you might not see the data that was written using the PUT statements, or the data might be out of sequence with the ODS generated data. This problem occurs because both your code and ODS are opening the same fileref at the same time. You can fix the problem by doing any of the following:
- inserting your PUT statements before you open ODS
- closing ODS while you write directly to the fileref
- using the ODS HTML TEXT="string" option to write data
