Usage Note 23657: In ODS, how can I avoid creating a new HTML file for each piece of output when selecting HTML from the Results Viewer window?
When creating output and selecting HTML as the output type from the Results Viewer tab
(Tools > Options > Preferences > Results),
each piece of output creates a new temporary HTML file. This is because the default option is
NEWFILE=OUTPUT. To change this option to create a single HTML
file with the multiple objects created, specify NEWFILE=NONE on the ODS HTML statement.
The example below creates a single HTML file with the first two PROC PRINT statements
and a new file with the third PROC PRINT.
ods html newfile=none;
proc print data=sashelp.class;
run;
proc print data=sashelp.class;
run;
ods html newfile=output;
proc print data=sashelp.class;
run;
If you want NEWFILE=NONE as the default behavior, then
add this to your autoexec file:
ods html newfile=none;
