When creating output and selecting HTML as the output type from the Results Viewer tab (Tools > Options > Preferences > Results), each piece of output creates a new temporary HTML file. This is because the default option is NEWFILE=OUTPUT. To change this option to create a single HTML file with the multiple objects created, specify NEWFILE=NONE on the ODS HTML statement. The example below creates a single HTML file with the first two PROC PRINT statements and a new file with the third PROC PRINT.

   ods html newfile=none;

   proc print data=sashelp.class;
   run;

   proc print data=sashelp.class;
   run;

   ods html newfile=output;
   proc print data=sashelp.class;
   run;

If you want NEWFILE=NONE as the default behavior, then add this to your autoexec file:

   ods html newfile=none;
