Usage Note 23354: How can I translate a value of a variable to something else by using PROC TEMPLATE?
Within the column definition, use the TRANSLATE statement with
the _VAL_ and INTO keywords to specify a value in the data set that should be changed
to a different value.
Whenever the _VAL_ value is found in an observation,
it is translated to
the INTO value. This is very handy when you want missing values
for numerics to be represented as text, for example, "missing."
proc template;
edit.univariate.moments;
edit source;
translate _val_= . into 'missing';
end;
end;
run;
