Usage Note 22554: How are the standardized scoring coefficients computed and how are they used?
These are standardized regression coefficients for predicting the factors from the variables. The computation is the usual formula for computing standardized regression coefficients from correlation matrices. The standardized
scoring coefficients are computed by multiplying the inverse of the variable correlation matrix (even if the COV option is used) by the structure matrix if a nonorthogonal rotation is specified, or else by the pattern matrix. PROC
FACTOR will do all of this automatically if you specify the OUT= and N= options in the PROC statement. Unstandardized scoring coefficients are not available from PROC FACTOR.
