Usage Note 21111: Establishing automatic e-mail alerts to your SASĀ® Financial Management system administrator
By default the mail server in SAS Financial Management is set to
mailhost.yourcompany.com
and the admin error e-mail recipient is set to
admin@yourcompany.com
You can change these settings so your system administrator will receive
automated e-mail notification of errors encountered, or other system
administration messages, when using SAS Financial Management.
To set this up in SAS Management Console:
- For SAS Financial Management 4.x:
- Access the Finance repository.
- In the left pane hierarchy, select SAS Management Console > Application Management > Configuration Manager.
- In the right pane, right-click on the SAS Financial Management Solutions entry and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, select the E-mail tab, and enter valid values for:
- Host name of mail server (SMTP)
- Recipients of admin. messages
- Recipients of error messages
- For SAS Financial Management 5.x:
- Access the Foundation repository.
- In the left pane hierarchy, select SAS Management Console > Application Management > Configuration Manager.
- In the right pane, right-click on the Financial Mgmt 5.x entry and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, select the Settings tab, and then select Notifications > Administrative and Error Messages.
- In the "Recipient of Administrative Messages' field, enter a valid e-mail address.
Change these fields to valid values for the notifications to work
correctly.
