Problem Note 21153: Font file is missing when using DBCS UTF8 and ODS/PDF output in SAS® Drug Development
A font file is missing when you use DBCS UTF8 and ODS/PDF output.
When you enter certain code to generate ODS/PDF in SAS® Drug
Development (SDD) 3.4, the following warning is generated in the SAS® log:
WARNING: Font specification "MS Gothic" failed. Using default font family instead.
When the file is displayed, the DBCS text is incorrect and appears garbled.
This is due to a missing MS Gothic font file. This problem only occurs on DBCS
UTF8 instances of SAS Drug Development 3.4.
When the MS Gothic font file referenced on the Hot Fix download page is
installed, ODS/PDF should work as expected.
