Problem Note 20781: SAS® Enterprise Guide does not prompt for credentials when you submit a stored process if the password changed after logon

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
If you attempt to run a stored process with SAS Enterprise Guide and the
user's password changes after the SAS Enterprise Guide logon, but before
the stored process is submitted, an "Access Denied" error message is
issued.

This problem can occur if a customer site has its security configured so
that passwords expire after only a few minutes. For example:

   1. A user logs on to SAS Enterprise Guide using
      "User=user123" and "password=pass456".

   2. After three minutes, the operating system automatically
      changes the user password to "password=pass789".

   3. A SAS Enterprise Guide user attempts to submit a store process
      Using the logon credentials.

   4. SAS Enterprise Guide issues an "Access Denied" error message.

Because a new connection is created for each stored process request,
problems can arise at customer sites where passwords expire in only a
few minutes.

A workaround is to use SAS Enterprise Guide 3, rather than SAS
Enterprise Guide 4.
