Problem Note 20734: An error occurs when data that has any date format is loaded to Oracle in a non-English environment

When you try to load any data with a date format to Oracle in a non-English environment, an error similar to the following message one occurs:

ORA-01843: not a valid month

When BULKLOAD=NO, the environment variable is set as NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE=AMERICAN. However, when BULKLOAD=YES, the environment variable is not set.

A workaround for this problem is to set the environment variable prior to invoking the SAS® System.
