Usage Note 20733: Control files and data files might still exist after you bulk load an Oracle table

Control (.CTL) files and data (.DAT) files are created when you bulk load an Oracle table. By default, the .DAT file is deleted after the bulk loading is completed. The files are deleted because they are usually large files and take up a lot of space. However, the .CTL file is not deleted.
If you see that both the .DAT and the .CTL files are not being deleted, it normally means that you used the option BL_DELETE_DATAFILE=NO with the BULKLOAD= option.
The existing data set option BL_DELETE_DATAFILE=YES/NO has been expanded so that it now controls the deletion of all files (.DAT, .LOG, and .CTL). Previously, this option only affects the .DAT files.
