Problem Note 20674: "Syntax error, expecting one of the following" when CONDITION field exceeds 1024 characters

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
PROC TRANASSIGN provides a batch method for calculating a Profitability Management model. The ASSIGNMENTRULE= option should allow 4096 characters in the CONDITION field of the Assignment Rule Table.

However, if you have a CONDITION with more than 1024 characters, you will see the following error:

   Syntax error, expecting one of the following: !, !!, &, (, *, **, +,
   -, /, <,  <=, <>, =, >, ><, >=, AND, EQ, GE, GT, LE, LT, NE, OR,
   THEN, [, ^<, ^=, ^>, {, |, ||, ~<, ~=, ~>.

The error will appear for each CONDITION whose expression is greater than 1024 characters.
