When installing SAS 9.1.3 SP4 on a Microsoft Windows Vista™ machine, you should use the SAS Setup Disk to initiate the install. If you attempt to use the SAS Software Navigator CD or the Navigator in the root of a SAS 9.1.3 depot to begin the install on Windows Vista, the following error is displayed:

The SAS Software Navigator is not supported in SAS 9.1.3 SP4 on Windows Vista. It is necessary to use the SAS Setup Disk to begin the installation. If you are using a SAS 9.1.3 depot, navigate to setup.exe from the disk1 folder and run the file. Example: [path to depot]\disk1\setup.exe
