Problem Note 20377: Error opening information map in the SASĀ® Add-in for Microsoft Office after applying the E9BX01 SAS bundle
When attempting to open an information map from the SAS Add-In for
Microsoft Office, you might receive an error similar to the following:
Your current SAS Server does not support Information Maps
This message will be displayed in the client after applying the Base hot
fix bundle E9BX01. The use of information maps in the SAS Add-In for
Microsoft Office 2.1 and SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 requires SAS 9.1.3 SP4
on the server. The application of this hot fix bundle, E9BX01, changes
the format of a value passed to the client software that is used to
determine the version of SAS software you are running. The client
software, in turn, interprets this value to mean that you are not
running SAS 9.1.3 SP4 when, in fact, you are.
There is no way to uninstall the hot fix bundle, E9BX01. If the user
needs to access information maps in the SAS Add-in For Microsoft Office,
they will need to apply the hot fix available to allow that
functionality with the E9BX01 hot fix bundle applied.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
The 4.2 versions of the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office and SAS® Enterprise Guide
will require a SAS® 9.2 server, so this problem will not be an issue in subsequent
releases.
