Usage Note 20333: Parallel join may fail for when joining two very large tables

When using SPD Server, attempting to use a parallel join to join two very large tables may cause the process to fail with the following error message:
SPDS_ERROR: Inalid value for the -6949672 option.
This error will be followed by parallel join failures messages in the SAS® log.
