Problem Note 20190: The Oracle bulk loader is disabled when you use the -NOXCMD command to invoke the SAS® System

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Oracle and you invoke SAS with the -NOXCMD command, the Oracle bulk loader is automatically disabled and you receive the following error:

WARNING: Shell escape is not valid in this SAS session.
ERROR: Requested function is not supported.

SAS is invoked with the -NOXCMD command for security reasons when you run SAS itself as a service such as a stored process for BI clients, a workspace server, or an invocation of SAS using SAS/CONNECT® software.

Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

Even if you specify -NOXCMD, this hot fix enables the bulk loader by temporarily enabling the XCMD command to be to be launched only from the SQL*Loader facility.
