Problem Note 20180: A Select node that selects for blank values in SAS® Campaign Studio might return an incorrect count

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Campaign Studio, a Select node that selects for blank values might return the count for NULL values rather than blank values. This condition might result in incorrect counts.

The problem occurs when the associated information map has the following extended attributes that are associated with that data item, either directly, or through inheritance from the data item's category or folder:

  • AllowBlankValues=yes
  • Metadata=values

These options are valid for SAS® Marketing Automation information maps in Oracle, Teradata, and DB2 databases. Note that no errors or warnings that are related to this issue appear in any logs.
