The JOBNAME= option enables you to specify your own grid job name. Before applying this hot fix, you could not create your own job name. You could only specify the RESOURCE= and WORKLOAD= options in the GRDSVC_ENABLE call routine. With the hot fix, you can create job names; however, you are limited to using single-byte characters for those names.

With the availability of the JOBNAME= option, you can specify the macro variable that contains the job name for any sign-on event that follows the GRDSVC_ENABLE call function, as shown in this example:

 %let rc=%sysfunc(grdsvc_enable(_all_, "resource=SASMain;JOBNAME=macvarname");

You can use the new capabilities provided that you use single-byte characters for the job names. DBCS characters are not allowed in job names. If you use them, untranslated characters will display.
