To renew the SAS license for SAS 9.1 (SAS 9.1.2 or SAS 9.1.3), do the following:
Note:The default filename is SAS91_12345.txt, where 12345 is is a unique number for your site. If you do not have the SID file see the section Obtaining a SID file below.
If the license renewal was successful, the following message is displayed:
If it was not successful, the message indicates this and displays the location of the SETINIT.LOG file. Review the SETINIT.LOG file in NOTEPAD for errors.
If applicable, restart your SAS servers and SAS spawners after you renew the SID file.
To obtain a SID file, contact your SAS installation representative. To determine the SAS installation representative who is responsible for your site, go to SAS Support Personnel at Your Site.
You will need your SAS site number and company name. This information is displayed at the top of the SAS log window when you first start SAS.
